Israeli raids, demolitions continue across occupied West Bank
Raids, assaults, and detentions continued across the occupied West Bank on Monday as Israeli forces expanded incursions.
The Israeli army raided a training centre for UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, in the Qalandiya refugee camp, north of occupied East Jerusalem.
Troops stormed the facility, fired tear gas, and detained UN staff, the Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement.
The Israeli army also raided the Qalandiya camp overnight, firing stun grenades and tear gas that triggered a fire, according to the governorate.
The raid comes weeks after the governorate warned of an Israeli plan to demolish UNRWA’s training centre in Qalandiya.
Local sources told Wafa news agency that eight Palestinians were detained across five locations in Nablus.
A series of demolitions and raids on Palestinian homes were also reported on Monday across Jenin, Ramallah, Qalqilya, Hebron, and Bethlehem, followed by further detentions of Palestinians.
